I am writing you this letter to offer my sincere apology for being late at yesterday’s meeting. I was on my way to the office when suddenly my car broke out. I tried to fix it myself but unfortunately, it had become problematic beyond what I could have thought.
I had already devised my proposal which I had intended to present to the honorable members. I had never been late in my working career and have always tried to do my best. I’ll be grateful if by some means I can present my proposal to you and then arrange for another meeting as decided by you.

With due respect, I apologize for being late at the meeting arranged this morning. The normal route which I used to take for coming to the office was closed without any prior notice. I had to take another route which was heavily flooded with traffic. It took 2 hours pave my way to the office and attend the meeting.
This annual meeting was something I had made plans for. I had waited long for it to happen but due to unfortunate reasons, I got late for the meeting. I will be grateful if you can arrange another meeting so that I may be able to present my point of view. This may seem frustrating but still, I request you to please arrange a follow up meeting at any convenient time.

I apologize deeply for being late to the office meeting. I had already informed at the office of my mother’s health. It was for this reason that I was late at the meeting. I was coming to the office when suddenly my mother’s condition got worse. I had to rush her to the hospital immediately.
I have always been present at the prior meetings held at the office but this time due to the reason I was unable to arrive in time for the meeting.
Arranging for another meeting will be tiresome as we are already loaded with a lot of work. But still, I request you to please arrange for another meeting at your convenience. I’ll be obliged.

I offer my apology for being late at the meeting. I left home at my usual time when suddenly I received a call from my daughter’s school. They wanted to meet me immediately as there was some serious problem at the school. I had to make choice.
As a father. I decided to go to the school first. For this reason, I got 15 minutes late for the meeting. I understand the importance of attending the meeting and for this reason, I request you to rearrange the meeting at some other time.
I know and understand that it’s my fault but still, I will be grateful If we can talk about the meeting minutes at some other time so that I may also get an understanding of decisions made. Hoping for good.
